Cumin grown in Ano Vlassia, a mountainous village in Achaia, Greece, is known for its robust aroma and earthy, slightly peppery flavor. Thanks to the village's clean mountain air, mineral-rich soil, and cool climate, the cumin cultivated here develops an especially intense essential oil content, which enhances its culinary and medicinal properties. Traditional, small-scale farming methods are typically used, ensuring high-quality seeds with strong, authentic character. This cumin is ideal for seasoning meats, stews, legumes, and spice blends, offering a distinctive Greek terroir to an ancient spice.
